What changes there have been in the yard and garden in the last two weeks!
The rhododendron is in full bloom - it still amazes us to see it, because when we bought the house, the rhododendron was so overgrown that we didn't even know it was there. The irises, pincushion flower, clematis, and other flowers are in full bloom. The azalea and dogwood blooms have come and gone (well, we wish the dead azalea blooms were gone - they're not very pretty). And the rose buds are plentiful. This weekend we worked all day putting in a new bed by the fence in the backyard. We're very pleased with the results, but the lack of grass next to it really detracts. Don't know what we're going to do about that yet. After the hard work in the yard, we enjoyed happy hour on the deck.
