Rain is grace

Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.
John Updike

The rain that fell yesterday and last night did indeed feel like grace - every drop of it.
I think the plants would agree.

Mmmmm...I'm looking forward to our next rain. The plants especially need it with this summer's heat. And it smells so fresh. Anticipation...

I'm hoping we get some rain soon. It's been sooooo long, I don't remember what rain is!

Gentle rain is always good for our plants. Newly bathed plants are such a pleasure to look at especially after a dry spell.

It is raining here right now but almost all my plants have been brought inside because of the strong winds and volume of rain expected.

Just came in from watering and I would agree...rain is life and we need some desperately! Glad you're enjoying some.

Ah, this post is so refreshing! I love to see the rain on flowers and foliage and to listen to it fall and smell the scent of rain in the air.

i like that updike quote. we had the same drought relief you got in charlotte this week. halleluia! watering just isn't the same as a good cleansing, soaking rain.
