What wondrous beings these

Do you ne'er think what wondrous beings these? Do you ne'er think who made them, and who taught The dialect they speak, where melodies Alone are the interpreters of thought? Whose household words are songs in many keys, Sweeter than instrument of man e'er caught! - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
The view from the sun room window this morning. I am home with a cough and a cold. Watching these birds was as good as any other medicine.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Ginny, but your bird photos are lovely. Is that a red-bellied woodpecker? I always get them confused with the Flickers as we don't have them out here.

So sweet! I love birds too. I hope you are feeling better soon. If anything can make you feel better, it is nature and all it's glory!

So glad to have found you Ginny - thanks for your comment and for picking my post on blotanical. I like your birds, and your style. Every day is a miracle, isn't it? I need to keep that in mind.

Ginny, I hope you'll be feeling good again. Colds are no fun anytime. During pollen season they can be even worse, with the added yellow stuff that floats through the air! I love birds too...and we get all of those that you've photographed. I'm glad you can sit and enjoy them while you're not feeling well.
